Join us for a group FTP test on Tuesday March 27th at 7pm at Dig Deep, 3385 Yonge St.
FTP or Functional Threshold Power testing is important if you intend to train with power or with heart rate. Your FTP value will help establish or update your power training zones and ensure you are working at the right intensity during your bike workouts. Your FTP - and therefore your zones - will change throughout the year as your fitness increases or decreases. It is therefore recommended to re-test every 8 weeks.
The workout is 1 hour, but the actual test is only 20 minutes. You will need to bring your bike and bike shoes, as well as an ANT+ compatible HR monitor if you want to get your HR zones as well as your power zones. It is recommend that you are rested for this workout, ie no hard workouts in the 24-48 hours preceding the test for best results.
Class may be cancelled if less than 3 participants are registered 24 hours in advance of the session.
