Are you a beginner swimmer who wants to swim faster? Do you find yourself tiring quickly in the swim? Do you consider yourself a "sinker"? Do you have trouble swimming continuously? Then our beginner stroke improvement clinic is for you!

What is it? 1.25 hour Beginner Swim Stroke Improvement Clinic at Regent Park Aquatic Club, starting from 6:30 to 7:45am on Tuesday, Sept 4th

The goal of the clinic is to teach you correct breathing and body position, learn drills to reinforce these habits and work to improve your mobility with a dryland training program.

Beginner stroke technique session to include an instructional and in-water component.

  • We will go through a dryland strength routine designed to improve mobility of the shoulders, hips and ankles and strengthen the core
  • We will watch a video to get a sense of proper stroke technique
  • We will break down and demonstrate the basic components of the front crawl stroke (breathing, body position, how to kick)
  • The in water component will introduce drills to help with the individual components of the stroke
Coach:  Miranda Tomenson

Limit: 18 participants (unless there is a GL or another coach present, then more OK)
