Are you new to triathlon or swimming and don't know how to get your swim training started? Do you struggle with the swim component of the triathlon? If so, this 3 part clinic is for you!

Dates: April 6, April 20, May 4

Description: Over the course of the three 2hr sessions, participants will be exposed to stroke technique tips, including proper body position and propulsion and how to continue to build fitness through progressive training. These clinics will be lead by Miranda Tomenson.

Why do it?: This clinic is a great opportunity for beginner triathletes or those who have been struggling to improve their swim. Each of the three sessions will build on the previous one and will have a focus on stroke technique and training, specific for triathletes.

Details: The first session will focus primarily on body position, with about 30 minutes at the start dedicated to dryland training for mobility and stability for swimmers and an analysis on proper body position and how to achieve it. The in water session will start with a swim video of every swimmer. The remainder of the session will be in the water, with a variety of drills intended to improve comfort and buoyancy in the water.

The second session will build on the first session. The first 30-60 minutes will be a recap of the first session, including a mix of dryland and in water drills. The remaining time will focus on propulsion from the arms and the legs.

The third session will build on the second session. The first 30-60 minutes will be a recap of previous session, including a mix of dryland of in water drills. The remaining time will focus on building fitness and getting ready for open water swimming, with the final 15 minutes spent capturing underwater video of each swimmer.

Spots are limited to 12 and each participant will receive a video of their stroke at the beginning and end of the 3 part clinic.

Requirements: Bathing suit, goggles, swim cap, ability to complete at least 100m of swimming without stopping (even if it isn’t freestyle)

Coach: Miranda Tomenson

Please plan on arriving early to change.
