COLLINGWOOD 2023
Its finally back!!! Our highly sought after Collingwood Training Camp is Friday, May 19 to Monday, May 22.
TTC Collingwood Spring Training Camp is 4 days and 3 Nights! Come train in the Blue Mountains and build some early season volume.
This camp is geared to all skill levels. For those looking to increase strength and endurance we will be riding big hills and have options to go long (rides can be 2 - 4 hours). For those newer to the sport or those looking for lower intensity we will have shorter rides on less challenging terrain, but you will still have an opportunity to gain volume and learn new skills. You will need a road bike or tri bike ideally.
You will have the opportunity to do two to three rides (two of which are 2+ hour rides).
Group talks on Bike safety, Race Planning, Bike maintenance will be offered throughout the weekend. Swim workouts will be coached.
Support vehicles will be en route for our long rides on Saturday and Sunday to carry extra water and offer assistance where needed.
What people are saying from previous years:
“When I signed up for the TTC camp, initially the draw was Collingwood. Who doesn’t want to train on those scenic country roads. But what I experienced surpassed my expectations. The accommodation and routes were fantastic, the camaraderie uplifting and I came away with a solid weekend of training under my belt and new friends. Great value.”
About accommodations:
For this year we are providing 2 camp options:
1. Camp only. For those less comfortable staying in the chalet or those with accommodation in Collingwood or those that prefer to find their own accommodations, this is a great option. All activities and events are included and the daily meeting and end spot will always be at the chalet close to the Blue Mountain Village.
2. The Chalet experience: We have 3 almost identical chalets across the road from Blue Mountain Village. Each chalet has a complete kitchen, 3 full bathrooms, 1 half bath, a hot tub, a steam bath, 2 gas fireplaces and a washer/dryer. The chalet is equipped with cable tv, DVD/VCR, high speed internet as well. You will provide your own food (self-cook) - meals are not included in the camp.
Each Chalet has:
3 Bedrooms with 1 queen bed (sleeps 2)
2 bedrooms with 3 beds - Triple Room (some bunks)
When booking the Queen rooms and if you will be sharing, one person will register and pay for the full room and you will be emailed code for your roommate to register (if they are participating in the camp).
*You must be a current 2023 TTC member to participate in any training-related activities of the camp.
